Mey is a pleasant village situated approximately 20 minutes drive from Thurso and a short drive from the Castle of Mey, the Queen Mother’s former Highland residence. The village has a local shop and hotel and is well known for its annual Highland Games, which is traditionally attended by members of the Royal Family. The area provides superb scenery and an abundance of outdoor activities such as walking, shooting and fishing.


Directions

From Thurso, follow the A836, through Castletown and Dunnet. After approximately 3 miles (just after the S bends) you will see a newly built house on your left beside a traditional type cottage also on your left. The site for sale is situated on your left just past these two houses.
